SUMMARY:

The position of FLEET COORDINATOR - VEHICLES manages the operation and maintenance of all company vehicles. Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships. Implements vehicles preventative maintenance program. Complete vehicle lifecycle management: plan, purchase, delivery/execution, maintenance, disposal. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages vehicle fleet annual budget including purchasing and execution of deployment schedule
  • Collaborates with Director of Product Support to establish appropriate vehicle specifications for each position on an annual basis including any aftermarket upfits (ex: Knapheide)
  • Establishes optimal vehicle life cycle maintains disposal/replacement schedule accordingly
  • Manages relationship with decal/wrap provider to ensure designs are current and coordinates installations for all new vehicles as well as other installations (defects, accidents, etc.)
  • Coordinates with L&T dept. at Enterprise to ensure all vehicles registration renewals are processed in a timely manner, including state transfer of tag if necessary; ships all tags/registration to field once processed; processes duplicates and ships if needed
  • Responsible for facilitating and managing extensions for any and all rental vehicles needed at the field level
  • Maintains vehicle recall list and works with the Regional Managers and drivers to ensure open recalls are addressed and remedied
  • Drives compliance with current mileage entry policy (each driver required to enter mileage in the Efleets app weekly). Sends weekly update to managers showing drivers that have not entered mileage.
  • Partners with Regional Managers and Area Rental Managers to resolve problems and questions regarding vehicle maintenance, license plates, renewals, Efleets app, and any other vehicle related inquiry
  • Ensures the master fleet list in the Enterprise web portal is accurate and up to date regarding driver assignments and regional cost codes
  • Coordinates with Safety Manager and HR to maintain compliance with current company policies as well as other governing agencies (ex: DOT)
  • Responsible for developing and disseminating reports for the functional area

Job Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher OR equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve, including efficiency in determining solutions and communicating through proper channels to achieve optimal results.
  • Excellent communication skills, including: influencing, reporting, and relationship building skills in internal and external environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite with medium proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • May include some travel.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position potentially works both indoors and outdoors during the workday. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be done by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

An employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneeling, pushing and pulling for limited time periods, in addition to repetitive movements of hands, occasional lifting of up to (25) lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
